Description
When the former edition of this work as published, I expect to be called on, twenty year later, to revise it. And Mysore in the interval has undergone such great and radical changes, an so much has been added to our knowledge of its past by recent discoveries. But the present edition is confirmed to the state of Misur and does not, as before include coorg. The word Gazetteer was intended as handbook for British policy makers and agents in the area.
