The publication of a Hindi calendar, also known as a "taqweem," for the new year of Samvat 1898, corresponding to the Gregorian year 1841.
This calendar, to be printed at a specific press, will include the dates for Bakar Majeet along with the designation "Madi" for the year.
It will detail the number of days in the year, the movements of the planets, solar and lunar eclipses, and days of holidays for Hindus, British, and Muslims.
Additionally, it will align Hindu and Muslim dates with Gregorian dates and describe the characteristics of each season, including the climate, agricultural produce, fruits, and vegetables. This calendar, termed a gift to Hindustan, will be printed on paper and made available in the middle of Delhi, priced at one rupee per copy for subscribers and one rupee and eight annas for non-subscribers.
