To—Mirza  Moghal. 

              Son,—The  illustrious  and  valiant  Mirza  Muhammad Zahur-ud-din,  otherwise  Mirza  Moghal  Bahadur  !  Learn! That  six  carts  have  been  prepared  to  bring  in  Saltpetre,  which is  stored  outside  the  City,  as  it  is  required  for  the  manufacture of  powder.  You  will,  therefore,  assign  25  men  of  the  Regular Infantry  to  protect  it  on  the  road,  so  that  the  quantity  required may  be  carefully  conveyed  to  the  Magazine,  and  you  will  also issue  a  written  order  to  the  Military  Guard  at  the  Lahore  Gate not  in  any  way  to  hinder  the  passage  in  and  out  of  the  carts employed  in  its  conveyance.
