DESCRIPTION
There is a reasonable number of Musavi al-Safwi Sadat in Kashmir. His genealogy goes back to the 26th generation from Mir Shams-ud-Din Iraqi to Imam Musa Kazim (as) and his name is known as Mousavi Sadat.
The most notable of these is the family of Aqa Sahib Budgam, whose founder is the late Aqa Syed Mehdi. Apart from Kashmir, this family is famous in India, Iran and Iraq. Syed Muhammad Jin was nicknamed Mir Shamsuddin Iraqi. Mirza Sultan Hussain was in an honorable position with the people of Khorasan.
He became the ambassador of his country in the last year of Sultan Hassan Shah Meri. He lived here for eight years and since he was a Shiite he was very concerned about preaching his religious beliefs but here the king and his subjects were all Sunnis and Jamaat.
