DESCRIPTION

There Were Eight Mirza Firuz Shahs of the Royal Household in Delhi. Based on the British inquiry in 1860, it was revealed there were eight males by the name of Mirza Firuz Shah in the Delhi Archive. Two of these Mirza Firuz Shahs were grandsons of Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar II. The list includes the following: a) Mirza Firuz Shah, 18 year old – lives in Mehrauli, son of Mirza Furkhunda Shah (Mirza Bulaqi Sahib- who died in 1842 in Delhi), son of Bahadur Shah II, b) Mirza Firuz Shah, 46 year old -- lives in Nizamuddin, son of Jahan Shan, son of Emperor Akbar II, c) Mirza Firuz Shah (Sunjali Sahib), 40 year old -- lived near Kanpur, son of Mirza Salim Shah, son of Emperor Akbar II. Left Delhi before 1857, d) Mirza Firuz Shah, (Munjhu Sahib), 30 year old -- left Delhi September 1857, son of Mirza Latif Bakht, son of Emperor Shah Alam II. Married Bahadur Shah Zafar’s daughter, lived in Lucknow for a short time, e) Mirza Firuz Shah, 35 year old -- son of Mirza Suliman Shikuh, son of Emperor Shah Alam. Visited Calcutta before 1857, g) Mirza Firuz Shah, 27 year old -- son of Nizam Bakht great, great grandson of Sultan Azim-ud-din, son of Emperor Mu’azzam Shah, son of Emperor Aurangzib Alamghir, h) Mirza Saif-ud-din Mohammed Firuz Shah Bahadur (Emperor Humayon II) 23 year old -- son of Sultan Dara Bakht, son of Emperor Bahadur Shah II.
