Description
Abyssinian Expedition. Letter of 21st September, 1866 from Mr. Flad to Mr. Murray informing as under In 1863 certain Abyssinian priests were removed from the Jerusalem convent. They complained to the King of Abyssinia that they had been expelled from their convert by turks and when the sought protection from the British Consul he refused to interfere, stating that he had no authority from the King, who subsequently imprisoned Consul Cameron and other Europeans.
