Description
About Ibn Khaldun
He is Wali al-Din Abu Zayd Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Jaber ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Khalid (Khaldoon) al-Hadhrami... more commonly known as Ibn Khaldun (born on Wednesday 1 Ramadan 732 AH corresponding to May 27, 1332 and died On Friday 28 Ramadan 808 AH corresponding to March 19, 1406) he was an astronomer, economist, historian, jurist, hafiz, mathematician, military strategist, philosopher, luncheon and statesman, considered the founder of sociology.
He was born in Ifriqiya in what is now Tunisia during the Hafsid era. His family in Andalusia owned a farm Hacienda Torre de Doni A present-day Maria near Dos Hermanas (Seville).
Ibn Khaldun is considered one of the scholars whom Islamic civilization is proud of. He is the founder of sociology and the first to put it on its modern foundations. He came up with brilliant theories in this science about the laws of urbanism and the theory of nervousness, state building and the stages of its construction and fall.
His views and theories preceded what was reached several centuries later by a number of famous scientists, such as the French scientist Auguste Comte.
