Shahzada Shahzada Mirza Muhammad Abu Bakr (1837–13 October 1857) was a son of Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah II and his queen Rajun Khawas. He also served the Mughal army during the war of 1857 and was executed on 13 October 1857. Colonel Shahzada Mirza Muhammad ‘Abu Bakar, Bakhtawar Shah Bahadur. b. at the Red Fort, Shajahanabad, Delhi, 1837 (s/o Rajun Khawas), educ. privately. Renounced his rights of succession to his brother Prince Jawan Bakht, July 1856. Appointed as Col of the mutineous 74th Regt BNI, 19th May 1857. Served with the Mutineous troops against the British, but fled from the field of battle at Mirath. Captured and tried for murder by a British military court. Sentenced to death, October 1857. m. at the Red Fort, Shajahanabad, Delhi, 1851, Nawab Munir uz-Zamani Begum Sahiba [Mah Siti Begum] (b. 1839; d. at Delhi, August 1920), second daughter of Shahzada Mirza Muhammad Hidayat Afza, Ilahi Bakhsh Bahadur, by his third wife, Nawab Husaini Begum Sahiba, daughter of Mirza Muhammad Kaikhushru Bahadur. He was k. (executed) at Delhi, 13th October 1857 (bur. Durga of Kazi Bakibulla), having had issue, a son: a) Mirza Mubarak Shah Bahadur. b. at Delhi, ca. 21st August 1853 (s/o Munir uz-Zamani Begum). m. (first) Shah Jahan Begum Sahiba (m. second, Mirza Iqbal Shah Bahadur, and d.s.p.), daughter of his uncle, H.R.H. Shahzada Mirza Muhammad Sultan Ghulam Fakhr ud-din, Fath ul-Mulk Shah Bahadur, Wali Ahad Bahadur, by his third wife, Mussmat Nawab Hatim uz-Zamani Begum Sahiba, daughter of Shahzada Muhammad Hidayat Afza, Ilahi Bakhsh Bahadur. m. (second) … He d. at Delhi, 1879, having had issue, two daughters: i) Fatima Sultan Begum [Mussmat Nawab Rafi’ uz-Zamani Begum Sahiba]. b. 1880 (d/o Shah Jahan Begum). m. Mirza Azam Shah Bahadur. She had issue, 4 daughters. ii) Kashita Sultan Begum Sahiba (d/o the second wife).
