DESCRIPTION

1719 H.M. Sahib-i-Qiran Muhammad Shah Neku-siyar Taimur-i-Sani Padshah-i-Zaman, Emperor of India. b. before 6th October 1679 n.s., second son of Sultan Muhammad Akbar Mirza, by his first wife, Nawab Salima Banu Begum Sahiba, daughter of Shahzada Sultan Sulaiman Shikoh, sometime Naib Subadar of Kabul., educ. privately. Imprisoned at Agra Fort 1681-1719. Proclaimed and acended the musnaid at Agra Fort, 19th May 1719. Arrested after the gates of the citadel had been opened to Ghairat Khan, 13th August 1719 n.s.. He d. at Salimgarh, Delhi, 12th April 1723 n.s. (bur. there at the Mausoleum of Khwaja Qutb ud-din Kaki).
