DESCRIPTION

Kalsi Pass is a mountain pass located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas. The pass is located at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) above sea level and connects the towns of Purola and Mori in the Uttarkashi district. The Kalsi Pass is known for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination among adventure enthusiasts and trekkers. The surrounding mountains offer several trekking routes that provide stunning views of the Himalayan range, including the Bandarpunch Peak, Swargarohini Peak, and Kedarnath Peak. The Kalsi Pass is also significant from a historical perspective. It was used by the British during their campaign against the Gurkhas in the early 19th century. The pass was the site of a battle between the British and the Gurkhas, which the British won. Overall, the Kalsi Pass is a beautiful and historic destination that attracts many visitors each year.
