Maidens Hotel

Fig. 125: MAIDENS HOTEL is one of Delhi's oldest hotels built in the early 1900s. It is the close vicinity of the most magnificent Mughal monuments of Delhi, and the famous shopping centre, Chandni Chowk, with its quaint bazaars and meandering lanes. Situated amidst the Turn of the Century' bungalows of north Delhi against the river Yamuna on the east; late 19th century architectural elegance is reflected in its architecture and decor. The Mughal Images immediately took a much greater interest in realistic portraiture than was typical of Persian miniatures. Animals and plants were the main subject of many miniatures for albums and were more realistically depicted. To upload your images click here.
