Information: Sultan Muiz ud-din Muhammad Mirza, Young Jahandar Shah Bahadur, who succeeded as H.M. Shahanshah-i-Ghazi Abu'l-Fath Mu'iz ud-din Muhammad Jahandar Shah Sahib-i-Qiran Padshah-i-Jahan Ghazi, Emperor of India (s/o Nizam Bai) - see below.
Buyers 1) Sultan A'azz ud-din Muhammad Mirza. b. 11th June 1664 (s/o Nizam Bai). He d. young. 2) Sultan Azhar ud-din Muhammad 'Azim Mirza, 'Azim us-Shan Bahadur. b. 15th December 1664 n.s. (s/o Amrita Bai). Arrested and confined with his father 21st February 1687 to 9th May 1695. Subadar of Bengal 1697-1712, and Bihar and Orissa 1702-1712. Raised to a mansab of 30,000 zat and 20,000 sowar 2nd May 1707. Invested with the title of 'Azim us-Shan Bahadur at Bagh Dahr-Ara, near Agra, 20th March 1707. Contested the succession of Jahandar Shah, and had himself proclaimed 29th February 1712. m. (first) before 7th November 1687 n.s., Rajkumari Bai Jas Kunwar Sahiba (d. at Delhi, 19th February 1721 n.s.), daughter of Raja Shri Kirat Singhji Bahadur, Raja of Kama. m. (second) at Qutbabad, 6th July 1692, Nawab Aisha Begum Sahiba (d. at Daulatabad, 15th July 1709 n.s., bur. there, near the tomb of Burhan ud-din), third daughter of Bakshi ul-Mamalik, Nawab Ruhu'llah Khan Yazdi, sometime Lord Chamberlain, Master of the Horse, and Paymaster-General, by his wife, a daughter of Amir ul-Umara, Nawab Shaista Khan Bahadur [Mirza Abu Talib], brother of H.M. Malika-i-Jahan, Mumtaz Mahal, Arjumand Banu Qudsia Begum Sahiba. m. (third) 1st November 1709 n.s., Nawab Giti Ara Begum Sahiba (b. before 28th November 1685 n.s.; d. 12th June 1724 n.s.), elder daughter of H.M. Padshah-i-Mamalik Abu'l Faiz Qutb ud-din Muhammad 'Azam Shah-i-'Ali Jah Ghazi, Emperor of India. m. (fourth) ca. 1715, Sahiba Nizwan, sister of Nawab Shaista Khan [Khwaja Inayatu'llah], sometime Subadar of Kashmir, Minister for Revenue and a mansabdar of 4,000 zat. He was k. (drowned in the Ravi) giving battle to his brother Jahandar Shah, 18th March 1712 n.s. (bur. Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun, Nizampur, Delhi), having had issue, six sons and one daughter: a) Shahzada Muhammad Karim ud-din Mirza. b. 12th October 1679 (s/o Jas Kunwar). m. (first) Nawab Maryam Banu Begum Sahiba (d. in the Deccan, 25th April 1709 n.s. m. (second) 22nd November 1709 n.s., a daughter of Sultan Muhammad Kam Bakhsh Bahadur, by his third wife, Shahzadi Azaram Banu Begum Sahiba, daughter of Mirza Muhammad Mu'azzam, Mu'azzam Khan, of the Safawi dynasty of Persia. He was k. at Lahore, on the orders of Emperor Jahandar Shah, before 7th April 1712 n.s.
