DESCRIPTION

The Qutb Minar, Delhi. Inscribed: ‘Kutab Lat Dihly.’ Note: Major Robert Smith repaired the Qutb Minar and added a cupola to the top in 1826. Although this was removed in 1847, the artist, perhaps copying from earlier drawings, shows it as still present.

MUGHAL IMAGES

The Mughal Images immediately took a much greater interest in realistic portraiture than was typical of Persian miniatures. Animals and plants were the main subject of many miniatures for albums and were more realistically depicted. To upload your images click here.
