DESCRIPTION

The Tomb of Mubarak Shah is a historic monument located in the city of Delhi, India. Mubarak Shah was a 15th-century ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, who ruled from 1421 to 1434. His tomb is situated in the Lodi Gardens area of Delhi, which is a popular tourist destination. The tomb was constructed in the Lodi style of architecture, which was prevalent during the reign of the Lodi dynasty in the 15th and 16th centuries. The tomb is built of stone and has a square plan with a single dome at the top. The exterior of the tomb is adorned with intricate carvings and ornamental motifs. The interior of the tomb has a simple design with a central chamber and an octagonal roof. The walls of the chamber are decorated with verses from the Quran and floral patterns. There are also several small chambers surrounding the central chamber, which were probably used as storage rooms. The tomb is surrounded by a lush green garden, which adds to its serene and peaceful atmosphere. It is believed that the tomb was once a part of a larger complex, which included a mosque and a madrasa (Islamic school). However, only the tomb remains standing today. Overall, the Tomb of Mubarak Shah is a significant historical monument that showcases the architectural and artistic skills of the 15th-century Delhi Sultanate.

MUGHAL IMAGES

The Mughal Images immediately took a much greater interest in realistic portraiture than was typical of Persian miniatures. Animals and plants were the main subject of many miniatures for albums and were more realistically depicted. To upload your images click here.
