The view is taken from the Chowk, the open square at the beginning of the Faiz Bazaar. Sadatallah Khan was one of Shahjahan's ministers and occupied the haveli adjacent to this chowk. The mosque is possibly the now vanished mosque of Roshanuddaula. The large procession heading towards the Delhi Gate suggests that this is of the emperor on his way to his country palace at the Qutb Minar.
