The Sultans of Golconda were able and efficient rulers of Deccan. They ruled for a period of 170 years between 1518-1687 A.D, in this period seven kings ruled the kingdom. The first king to came to throne was Sultan Quli Qutb Shah who ruled between 1518-1543 A.D., under Qutb Shahi’s Deccan prospered economically.
