Description
The Deccan has been an extremely crucial part of the Mughal Empire which began to be
annexed and incorporated into Mughal imperial dominions from Akbar in 1601 and completed
by Aurangzeb in 1706-7 after his last battle against Wakinkira. Aurangzeb held the Viceroyalty
of the Deccan twice since December 1635 to August 1644 and 1652 to 1659 ending with his
accession as Emperor both of which have been carefully analysed and commented.
