Indian-English writers such as Anita Desai, Bharati Mukherjee, Shahsi Tharoor, Amitav Ghosh, Vikram Seth, Sunetra Gupta, Rohinton Mistry, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Hari Kunzru have all become popular novelists after immigration.
